Marketing and Communications Coordinator

Through Neighborhood Support Teams (NST) we empower and mobilize local communities to welcome and assist newcomers as they rebuild their lives in the U.S. on their journey to self-sufficiency. As a trailblazer in community-led resettlement, we have engaged more groups of private citizens to do this work than any other organization in the country. As our Marketing and Communications Coordinator, you’ll help bring our mission to life by crafting compelling content, engaging our community, and supporting strategic outreach initiatives. You’ll work across digital platforms (social media, email marketing, and website management) to build awareness and inspire action. This role is perfect for a creative, organized, and mission-driven communicator looking to grow their skills and make a meaningful impact.

Your Key Responsibilities

Digital Marketing and Community Engagement

  • Develop and execute social media strategies to grow and engage our community.

  • Create and manage email campaigns, newsletters, and audience engagement efforts.

  • Monitor and manage online community spaces, including our private community platform, Facebook Groups, and volunteer networks.

  • Collaborate with teams to understand and amplify key messages from ambassadors and partners.

Website and SEO Management

  • Keep our website updated with fresh, engaging content. Work with creative director to create new content.

  • Optimize website performance for user experience and search engines.

  • Resolve minor technical issues and ensure accessibility.

Content Creation and Storytelling

  • Craft compelling stories that highlight the impact of both WelcomeNST’s work and the work being done by the Neighborhood Support Teams

  • Create and/or edit multimedia content, including social media posts, blog articles, and video projects.

  • Work with external collaborators and stakeholders to enhance visibility.

Event and Campaign Support

  • Assist in planning and promoting key events such as World Refugee Day and other advocacy initiatives.

  • Support fundraising campaigns through digital marketing, partnerships, and donor outreach.

Analytics and Reporting

  • Track and analyze performance metrics across social media, email, website, and donor management platforms.

  • Provide regular reports and insights to improve engagement and strategy.
